Except for a few instances of highly-charged, dramatic performances, Meg Ryan has
remained type-casted as the somewhat goofy, cute, but loveable blonde haired, blue eyed,
girl-next-door in many Hollywood comedic romances. But that's not necessarily a bad
thing. With her perfected look, she fits those roles perfectly. Many people go to
see her films expecting such characters, and feel ill at ease seeing as anything other
than happy, warm, and lovestruck. In a sense, she is every man's highschool sweetheart,
every woman's best friend or sister, and every parent's beautiful daughter...and that's
